Each teen received the red carpet treatment literally. Upon arrival they walked down a red carpet flanked by cheering volunteers. One young lady burst into tears when she entered club member Vicky Jensen recalls. This was her first dance. In fact everything was a first from the corsages to the professional photographs. Jensen conceived of Shine after hearing about a similar event at another church. Heart for Montana took the idea one step further with its on-site Caregivers Retreat which provided refreshments and camaraderie for the teens loved ones. For Jensen her fellow club members and their team of volunteers the evening was an unqualified success. It was a joyful event she says. Everyone left with a full heart. These kids are deeply loved and cherished and it was an honor to share this special night with them. Degree of Honor Community Service and Sales Manager Michelle Alberg who attended the event echoes those sentiments. I couldnt have been more impressed she says. The time spent making every aspect of the venue beautiful and accommodating to the guests was beyond compare. An Evening TO SHINETeens and caregivers attend a magical fall formal. Since our summer 2015 issue Honor has followed the progress of Shine Heart for Montanas formal event for teens with special needs. The Degree of Honor service club partnering with Faith Chapel Church of Billings Montana and a host of community members held the dance on September 25 2015. 4 HONOR Winter 2016 800.947.5812
