My Mom, Ruth Dillard, purchased my first DOH policy when I was a baby. My DOH roots go back to sometime prior to 1924. I was told my Great Aunt Lottie Bigler was the first Medical Director for DOH.
As a Junior member in the early 50’s I’ve met each of the Presidents, only exception is our current President.
I now have 4 great grand children insured with DOH, too many generations to count.
Many fond memories of ‘the good ole days’, formals, ritual, friendships, and the list keeps going — Degree of Honor Protective Association for ever!!!!

Great way to spread the news! I was an employee at DOH from age 17-20 – it was my first fond job and I still remember Mary Diffley, Mary Reddick and Mildred Cruikshank to this day, as well as so many others. Congratulations on your museum!

Degree of Honor was one of the first fraternal organizations established in Great Falls about 1898. It was interesting to read about the beginning of DoH. I remember being involved as a youth and now as an adult member. There certainly have been changes.

My grandson took me here after I read about this in the Honor magazine. It brings tears to my eyes to remember the good ol’ D of H days!

It’s amazing to see photos of the Service Cap kids. I remember when I was a boy, getting my first stripe. My older sister went all the way through – she made it to be a Service Captain. She would have loved to see this museum, and all the memories of Degree of Honor.

My grandmother and my mother were so active in their DOH lodges as young women. I remember stories my grandma would tell of DOH during the Suffrage Movement. Amazing stuff! Mom was president of her lodge for many years. Wish I could show her this now!

It’s amazing to see that Convention film from the 30s. I can’t believe how different Como Park looked back then. And there were so many people!

I remember my mom in her white Degree Staff uniform, practicing her rituals for hours and hours before an initiation ceremony. They took things pretty seriously back then at the D of H! So glad to read more about Frances Olson – mom always said she was amazing.
